Four of Momoh’s children in direct birth have been Otaru of Auchi following his earthly departure in December 1944. The first to succeed Momoh the First was his third child whose birth name was Gimah, but he was more popularly known as Momoh Jimah (M.J.) Momoh. Momoh Jimah Momoh was born to Momoh the First by his most senior wife (Ovbianogbo). He was succeeded by his “twin”, Abubakar Momoh, better known as Abu Keremi (A.K.) Momoh. While M.J. Momoh was born in the morning, A. K. Momoh was born in the evening of the same day and the same year (1905). Abu Keremi Momoh was the first son of the third wife of Momoh the First, Awawu from Akpekpe, and the 4th child of Momoh the First. After a three-year interregnum following the earthly departure of Otaru Abu Keremi Momoh, Ahmed Guruza Momoh, who was the 23rd child of Momoh the First born to him by the 8th wife, Mamuna, succeeded his elder brother. Otaru Ahmed Guruza Momoh was the only child his mother had for Momoh the First. He was succeeded by “Highbred” Aliru Momoh.
