Aneru Momoh, popuparly known as Aliru “Highbred” Momoh, was the 90^th child of Momoh the First. He was sent off by Momoh the First to live with his maternal grandparents at an early age. Following the completion of his Standard Six, he went to live with his paternal aunt and her husband in Kaduna where he worked as a coffee boy and served the British colonial masters. He was promoted to assistant barman and later took over as the barman and supply officer for the kitchen when the barman left the job. During this time, he met the Premier of Northern Nigeria and Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello; and Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, who was Nigeria’s first and only Prime Minister. During his service as a barman, he was also studying for the RSA book-keeping examination. He later joined the Nigerian Breweries in Northern Nigeria as a store keeper and sales representative.

In 1962, H.A. Momoh obtained his secretarial certificate which allowed him to gain admission to the university. He served as accountant of the Nigerian Breweries headquarters in Lagos from where he proceeded to the United Kingdom to obtain his first degree in accounting as well as professional certification to become a professional accountant. He obtained another degree in law at the University of London before he returned to Nigeria. He worked for an international company in Nigeria as a financial controller before leaving to set up a private firm with interests in gold mining and owned a gold mine from where he became the Otaru.

Auchi enjoyed further progress during the reign of Otaru H.A. Momoh. Based on the population growth in Auchi over the years, Otaru H.A. Momoh restructured Auchi from the initial five villages to twenty-five villages. This was primarily to ease administration, and many of the villages are larger and more populated than many towns in Afemailand. Following the population growth and more people converting to Islam in the Kingdom, a new and larger mosque was built by the Otaru. This is the picturesque Arafat Mosque in Auchi. He attracted businesses to Auchi, and this led to 10 more banks setting up branches in Auchi and have remained there ever since. He also championed the establishment of a microfinance bank to provide soft loans for small and medium-scale businesses. This scheme has benefitted small co-operative groups and market-women. It is also during the reign of Otaru H.A. Momoh that the Auchi Day was re-organized to showcase Auchi rich cultural heritage, cuisine and sports.
