Prince Haruna Omoye Momoh was born to Prince AbdulKarim Kings and Mairo Momoh. He had his education at the University of Benin where he studied Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. He furthered his education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Technology at the Federal University of Technology Akure in 2002, and another Master’s degree in US and Global Business Law in Suffolk University, Boston, Massachusetts in 2010.

In 1986, Prince Haruna Momoh had his National Youth Service in Port Harcourt with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) where he worked for the Eleme Petrochemicals Project, the NNPC Zonal Office and the Port Harcourt Refinery. Following the completion of his National Service, he began his career in Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (EPCL), where he worked in various capacities as an in-house counsel, legal advisor and company secretary until 2005. He briefly served as company secretary of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) before transferring to another NNPC subsidiary, Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) where he worked as company secretary and legal advisor until 2010. Prince Haruna Momoh served as a Senior Technical Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Petroleum Resources for one year, and in recognition of his distinguished service especially in the area of drafting several legal agreements, negotiating several service contracts and deep knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria spanning over 25 years, he was promoted to Managing Director of the PPMC in 2011.

As a leading figure in the Oil and Gas industry for several years, Prince Haruna Momoh worked in rehabilitating 18 moribund petroleum depots owned by the NNPC and increased service delivery to 86% from 45% within four years. He was also involved in the expansion of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by revamping eight previously unused butanisation plants which helped to increase revenue for the nation. He also helped to ramp up LPG consumption from 78,000 tonnes to 350,000 tonnes during his stint as Managing Director of PPMC. Prince Haruna Momoh was also involved in articulation of energy policies like the National Bunkering Policy and Petroleum Industry Bill which is poised to increase the competitive streak of the state-owned Oil and Gas corporation. He was also in charge of ensuring the continuous supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) nationwide in an efficient and cost-effective way. He worked on the Kero-Direct Project, which served to meet demands for household kerosene nationwide, more especially in rural communities and he co-founded the Gas to Health Initative (GTHI) to promote the use of LPG across the country through the access to free cylinders and their safe use.

Prince Haruna Momoh was part of several ministerial delegations to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the United Nations General Assembly, as well as part of the Federal Government delegation to Austria, Australia, Belgium, China, Ethiopia, Kenya, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland and United Kingdom. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Barat Petroleum Services Limited (BPSL).

Prince Haruna Momoh is the founder of Kings and Mairo Foundation, and he has been involved in youth development and empowerment through education and scholarships. He is recognized for his accomplishments in the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria and one who rose through the ranks to the pinnacle of his career.
